SBI Doctor’s Credit Card Fees and Charges
Following are the fees and charges associated with SBI Doctor’s credit card:
- Joining fee: Rs. 1,499.
- Annual fee: Rs. 1,499; Waived on annual spends of Rs. 2 Lakhs or more in the preceding year.
- Foreign currency transaction fee: 3.5%.
- Finance charges: Up to 3.50% per month (42% per annum).
- Cash advance fee: 2.5% of transaction amount or Rs. 500, whichever is higher.
- Cash payment fee: Rs. 250 + applicable taxes.
- Late payment charges: Rs. 1,300 (depends on the outstanding amount).
- Over limit fees: 2.5% of the overlimit amount exceeding the credit limit or Rs.600, whichever is higher.
- Payment dishonor: 2% of payment amount (minimum Rs. 500).
- Rewards redemption fee: Rs. 99 applicable only on physical product.
- Card replacement charges: Rs. 100 to Rs. 250.
- Cheque payment fee: Rs. 100.
- Processing fee for rent payment transactions: Rs. 199.
- Dynamic & static currency conversion markup fee: 3.50% (for transactions of Rs. 1,000 or above).
SBI Doctor’s Credit Card Eligibility and Documents Required
Only doctors of Modern Scientific System of Medicine (Allopathy), aged between 21 to 65 years can apply for the SBI Doctor's credit card in association with IMA. To apply for the card, you will need to submit the following documents:
- Duly filled & signed application form along with recent photograph
- PAN Card
- Aadhaar Card
- Copies of your degrees/ registration certificates from the State Medical Council or the Medical Council of India
- Recent copies of Income Tax Returns
- Copies of the last 6 months' bank account statements

Here is the detailed process on how to activate SBI credit card online:
- Visit www.onlinesbi.com and log into your SBI net banking account with your username and password.
- Choose ‘e-Services’ and then select the ‘ATM card services option.
- A new page will be opened, where you have to choose ‘New ATM Card Activation’.
- Select the credit card account for which you have applied.
- Enter the 16-digit ATM card number in the appropriate field.
- Re-enterthe number again to confirm.
- Click the ‘Activate’ button.
- Check that all of the details appear on the new page.
- Select the ‘Confirm’ option.
