The Employees’ Provident Fund Organisation (EPFO) has its own official web portal that makes accessing information about your EPF account easier. You can easily check your EPF account balance, get updates on contributions made, track the status of your claim, and transfer funds from a previous member ID to the current one using just your Universal Account Number (UAN). You can also merge multiple PF accounts online using your EPFO login making it easier to access information and manage your account from one place.

One Employee-One EPF Account: Under this facility, EPF account holders can merge their PF accounts under their UAN.
EPFO Member Passbook Download: An EPFO member passbook has complete record of transactions linked to contributions and withdrawals made to the EPF and EPS accounts.
Pensioner’s Portal: Under this portal, you can get answers to all your pension-related queries and also check your Pension Payment Order or PPO number, pension credit, and passbook details.
Principal Employer: This facility enables interlinking of the principal with contract employer. The employer can upload the details of their contract workers/ work orders/ outsourced job contracts after UAN member login.
TRRN Query: Temporary Return Reference Number (TRRN) is a temporary number to check the status of your EPF challan payment.
Helpdesk: EPFO has a dedicated helpdesk for all employees and employers.
COC Application Form: The COC or Certificate of Coverage application form can be filled via the website.
ECR portal: Employers can register with the e-Sewa portal and generate a user ID & password. Afterwards, they can upload the ECR or Electronic Challan cum Return with the digital signature.

The employer and employee each contribute 12% of the salary of the employee towards EPF. The entire contribution of the employee goes towards EPF. However 8.33% of the employer’s contribution goes for pension, while the remaining goes towards EPF.
You have to declare your UAN with your present employer and the UAN will link all your PF accounts and it will be maintained as a single UAN account.
After successful PF UAN login, you can change a few details including your Name, Aadhaar number, and date of birth. After editing the details, you have to wait for the approval of EPFO office. On successful approval, your edited details will be updated on the portal.
